Exercise Room Rules

  1. Residents and their guests may use the exercise room.  Guests must be at least 18 years old and must be accompanied by a resident at all times.  This room is monitored by video cameras.
  2. Proper use of the exercise equipment is outlined in the equipment user's manuals available in the exercise room.  Improper use can cause injury to the user or damage to the equipment.  If you observe equipment that is damaged, please report that to the On-site Manager.  Users are responsible for damage to equipment caused by improper use.
  3. Users are solely responsible for their personal belongings.  The Board, the Association, and/or the On-Site Manager are not responsible for the loss of any user's personal effects.
  4. Upon completion of an exercise activity, all personal items and equipment must be either stored in the lockers or removed from the Clubhouse.  Exercise balls may be left in the storage room at this time.
  5. All equipment must be cleaned after use.
  6. Exercise room and restroom lights must be turned off upon leaving the building.
  7. Users are not permitted to adjust the HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) thermostat.  Certain temperatures have been pre-set for the building for comfort and operational purposes.
  8. Residents and guests may not use personal radios, tape recorders or other noise making devices without headphones in the exercise room. However, instructors and trainers may use a tape player during scheduled class times.
  9. No pets are permitted in the exercise room (except for seeing-eye dogs).
  10. Smoking is prohibited in the exercise room.
  11. While using the exercise room individuals may wear shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, warm-up suits, tights or leotards with appropriate athletic footwear.  Shirts are required and appropriate footwear must be worn at all other times.  Wet bathing suits are not permitted.
  12. Male and female locker rooms are available.  Individuals are responsible for providing a lock to secure personal belongings.  Remove the lock and locker contents when through.  Locks must be removed daily.  Staff is not responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged while stored in lockers.  Gym bags will not be allowed in the exercise room.
  13. Shower stalls are available in each of the locker rooms.  Individuals are responsible for providing their own toiletries.  These items will be removed if left in the locker room overnight.
  14. Showers are for pre- and post-exercise activities and pre- and post-pool use only
  15. No food or beverage may be consumed either in the locker room or exercise room.  Plastic water bottles are permitted.
